This project focuses on finessing a gentle form out of a block of wood using proper tool technique and control. Making the Roman Ogee easy while allowing the bowl and rim to accept any number of stunning embellishments, this project makes a great gift or family heirloom.

Biography

While Sue Boyle has not been turning for decades, she made her first bowl at the age of 13, and, some 35 years later knew she wanted to return to the craft. Sue is dedicated to ensuring students use safe and effective turning techniques while keeping things simple so turning stays fun. She teaches this class at Woodcraft of Dallas in Plano, TX, and excels in guiding new and young turners, and those who appreciate a laid-back, patient teaching style. Sue has been a member of the Dallas Area Woodturners club where she served on the Board of Directors as the Ladies Liaison providing dedicated support to area women turners.
